Celebrity Pastry Chef Daniel Tay is the CEO of hugely popular and successful Bakerzin, which has outlets in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.

Having won numerous accolades for his innovative dessert creations, Chef Daniel has taken it a step further in Just Desserts, his inaugural cookbook, to educate and inspire budding dessert chefs by sharing his simple, uncomplicated philosophy, ideas and techniques behind making the perfect dessert.

A graduate of the prestigious UFM International Baking Institute, Daniel ventured to France to train as a pastry chef in the early 80s before returning to Singapore to sharpen his skills, and established his career as a pastry chef. Driven by an insatiable passion for baking and a desire to introduce quality desserts and pastry to Singaporeans, he started baking cakes out of his home oven to sell to cafes and restaurants. He now owns and runs one of the most successful pastry businesses in Singapore.
