Tim Ross-Watson was born and bred in the vibrant city of London. Tim embarked on his culinary journey early on; at the tender age of 16, he began working at Selsdon Park Hotel, a traditional English hotel. He went on to work at The Goring Hotel, the luxury hotel which backs on to Buckingham Palace and is frequented by members of the Royal family. His next move was the one which truly set him on the path to an exciting culinary career - joining The Academy of Culinary Art 's Specialized Chef Course. Stints at renowned London dining establishments swiftly followed, including The Embassy London (where he worked under the mentorship of Michelin star-awarded Chef Garry Hollihead), and Foxtrot Oscar (part of the restaurant group owned by Gordon Ramsay). The latter was where his interest became especially piqued by modern French cuisine.
At Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire, Tim worked with Head Chef Phil Thompson, who was former Head Chef to Jean-Christophe Nouvelli, the celebrity chef helming the Michelin star-awarded Auberge du lac. It was at Brocket Hall that Tim came to hone his skills and delve deeper into the realm of modern French cooking.
Tim's style of cooking is meant to be reminiscent of one's childhood, triggering fond memories and making you feel as if you have had it your whole life. Armed with a patient and willing attitude to impart his passion and culinary skills, as well as a charismatic disposition, he will show you how easy and fun cooking can be.
